Met him the year before last at a tribute to Duncan Edwards in Dudley ( mate of mine was writing a book about Edwards ). Had a chat with him with a few others at a table ( meal and then bidding on items for charity).. He was full of stories about Edwards, Charlton and Best of course and how they had to search for Best on match days and training but that he was still the best player on the pitch by a mile when he was half cut :-) Still was sharp as a knife mentally at 90 and lots of lighthearted banter and piss take out of people he had known ( players, coaches etc) and himself.
92 though is a great innings especially when you keep your marbles . So RIP Tommy but no sadness he will be fondly remembered.

They were still together when he died 40+ years later. You’d think Mr Brown would get suspicious as a physio when Docherty would send him on midweek scouting trips so that he could pop round to see his wife.
I wonder how many Chelsea fans would know that Tommy Doc managed them ? RIP

It was he who termed Tony Adams as a Donkey. He was once asked about this particular clip.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4ruNosLNOE
Tommy's response was" Tony Adams, possible future Captain of England acting like a stupid Jackass"
The following day the Sun had a photo face of Adams with imposed Donkeys ears
